I read a lot, but this book told me real stories of snipers in Iraq and Fallujah, what they did and how they did so. I know that on X-Box one and I have always enjoyed taking the sniper position, however this book tells a great story of our dear, beloved defenders of our country, and my hat and heart goes out to each of the eleven men that this book tells about in a chapter by chapter version.

It made one chapter about one man's war, including situations that named and included other soldiers, but it told specifically about one man in each chapter and I could get interrupted by work etc. Also, at the end it tells about each Marine, their position and current status as well as how the war affected each of them and on another note, another incredible, special to me item that I cannot state without quoting, at the end of this book, which I read on my Kindle, under Acknowledgments, the author says and I quote the first paragraph under Acknowledgments Now that is true acknowledgment that glorifies our blessed savior.

I had no idea that the author was a religious person, so his ending acknowledgment of Jesus Christ was incredible, and made this great book even more special to me. Not only is this an incredible book that I was asked to rate at the end of the book I read via Kindle, but it is a true witness when a great writer inspires us all over again by giving credit to Jesus Christ.

I cannot over recommend this book to anyone who likes a book about the real life of Marines and what they do to save us all from harm. Go marines!! We love what you each do for out country!

Thank you, thank youthank you, on behalf of America, its citizens, and myself. One person found this helpful. This is a good book that tells a lot of stories of assumed real experiences that various snipers and sniper teams have had in Iraq. It is setup where each chapter in it deals with a different sniper's story, with details about that person at the heading of each chapter.

There is not a story like progression through the book as it is accounts of events that have taken place in each sniper's experience in Iraq. Sometimes you will hear stories from the same events told in different points in time but otherwise there is not a normal beginning, middle, and end here. Where the book excels is giving you a non-watered down media version of what the war in Iraq was really like.

Though there are a couple good stories in the book, I found it to be a bit repetitive in a folksy way. I like a little more background in my books. I am quite familiar w Anbar Province, but it needs a couple maps for perspective.

If perspective and insight is your thing, you won't find it in this book.
